Full Speed
Ahead!
Well we're in full swing again after a treacherous Ohio winter.( Really it was a treacherous Ohio February)
But now as I am writing this I hear the Ohio Cardinals singing, the dogs barking, mowers running...ah yesss!
Spring is Here....Praise The Lord for That!
We have a few announcements to give to you.
First of all after much discussion amongst ourselves, we have decided to not take any more week night appointments. As most of you know my job requires me to get up at 1:30am and often times I'm still not home at 3:00pm...And for many years the only weeknight appointments we would take were on Tuesdays because I don't work on Wednesday and could sleep in on Wednesday morning. But as I get older, even Tuesdays are becoming difficult. So without going into too much detail, we decided it would be best for us, and the fairest to all Churches to refrain from taking any more appointments through the week.
We may do a weeknight appointment on rare occasions such as Revivals at our own home Churches, but for the most part we will not be taking any more through the week and ask for and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Now, many of you are asking about a new Project from Redeemed and we hope to have one ready by the fall. I will tell you we are looking at new material from some of our old standard composers like Billy Fields, Gene Smith and of course our favorite Kyla Rowland, as well as some new writers we've not used before, so be praying for us that we will pick the right songs to up lift the name of the Lord first of all, and to be a blessing to you as well!
I guess you've noticed on the schedule page that Brother Eddie and Brother Jim Strunk are going to the Ukraine in September to share the Gospel in word and song over there. I am planning a Benefit Singing for them and will keep you posted on that as information comes in, but please keep them in your prayers.
And finally I must tell you we had a wonderful Friends and Family Day at Eddie and Donna's home Church.
Tony McGee and New Covenant were passing through town on their way to a Camp Meeting in Northern Ohio and stopped by that Sunday morning, and all I can say is WOW!! I'll say again I think I could of almost sailed on home that morning. When we're not on the road we all stick pretty close to our home Churches but Debby and I thought we'd sneak away that morning, she had not seen Karen (McPherson) in a few years and wanted to see her again.
They did such a great job but what made it so good was that The Lord himself was there!
I also enjoyed being with The Murray Family again, they did not sing but I enjoyed sitting next to Brother Ernie and in front of Sister Connie...(I got several of her "Holy Ghost back slaps")ha-ha...I didn't mind though...Oh Man it was good!!...The whole day was good. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
As always, Please keep us in your prayers.
Come be with us when you can.
